GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE & ESTIMATE

  1. This offer is made without engagement.
  2. The prices quoted in this estimate (unless stated or agreed otherwise) are subject to rise and fall in the event
    of any fluctuation in the cost of labour and/or material between the date of estimate and the completion of
    the work.
  3. Orders are accepted and dates for delivery given, conditionally upon our being able to secure the necessary
    labour and materials, and without responsibility for delays arising through risks and uncertainties of
    manufacture, strikes, accidents, and other causes beyond our control.
  4. The General Contractor will be required to afford to us the following facilities without charge:-
    a) Unloading and hoisting of all materials to the appropriate floors.
    b) Dry storage space for materials and lock up.
    c) Suitable scaffolding and staging to be supplied, erected and moved as and when required, in accordance
    with current safety regulations and laws.
    d) Cement and sand for fixing, water supply, artificial lighting, electrical power.
    e) Provide and fix adequate protection during and after fixing, and also protect adjoining work whilst our
    work is in progress.
    f) Protection against inclement weather when appropriate during fixing.
  5. The General Contractor shall be responsible for the safe custody of all materials from the time they are
    delivered to the site, until they are finally fixed.
  6. Where floors are laid on an under-floor heating system, same are not guaranteed against cracking or
    movement.
  7. Unless stated otherwise our work is to templates or detailed drawings supplied free of charge by others.
  8. Unless stated otherwise we have included for pointing joints between our materials only, (e.g. granite to
    granite joints) and not for joints between our material and other finishes, (e.g. mastic between granite and
    shopfront).
  9. Unless stated otherwise we have allowed for all work being carried out during normal working hours, e.g.
    Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  10. Work to be re-measured to the smallest rectangle required for manufacture, with raking or curved cutting
    measured separately.
  11. Our price includes only for the fixings required to fix the marble, granite or stone back to a suitable framework
    or structure. (Suitable framework or structure to be provided by others).
  12. Coloured Marbles, Granites and stones are supplied cramped and stopped where necessary and no claim on
    this account can be entertained. When samples are submitted it must be understood that exact resemblances
    cannot be guaranteed     as these are natural materials and subject to variations of colour and markings.
  13. No guarantee can be given that the colour shades of materials supplied against extension orders will match
    exactly the original supplies.
  14. Submission of samples does not constitute a guarantee as to bulk, or a sale by samples under contract.
  15. Payment Terms:
    Generally a deposit or payment in full is required upon acceptance of our quotation, with any balance being
    due upon completion and prior to collection/delivery. Credit facilities may be established at the Companies
    discretion and subject to satisfactory trade and bank references being submitted.
    Standard settlement terms for credit accounts are Nett payment in full within 28 days from Invoice. Interest at
    8% above base rate to be charged on overdue accounts. Failure to properly maintain the account may lead
    to withdrawal of the facility without notice.
    Trade discounts, prompt settlement discounts and/or retention will only apply if expressly agreed in writing by
    the Company, and then may only be deducted if the terms of the agreement are met.
    Monthly Applications or Interim Invoices will be rendered on longer term contracts and are to be individually
    treated as stated above.
    These terms take precedence over any terms of your enquiry and will apply unless specifically
    amended in writing by the Company.
  16. Title
    The title to goods shall not pass to you until payment has been made of the full contract price in the case of
    non-payment we shall be entitled to re-possess or trace the goods or the proceeds of sale in your hands or in
    the hands of any liquidator or receiver.
